Shield me, O Light, from the weight of the dark.
They rise with venom, their hearts unclean,
Hands full of harm, their whispers keen.
Traps in the shadows, pits for my fall,
But You are the strength that answers the call.
Hold not their flame against me,

With every cry, turn shadow to light.
Their lies like arrows pierce the air,
A storm of chaos, cruel and unfair.

Turn their venom to dust,
